Family-Friendly Campus
Family Resource Room
The Family Resource Room is a welcoming space designed specifically for student parents. Connected to the Student Parent Advisor’s office and the Campus Cupboard, the room offers a comfortable place to study, complete homework, enjoy a cup of coffee, and connect with other students balancing work, school, and parenting. Open to all student parents, the space serves as a central hub for family resources, basic needs support, and information to help students and their families thrive.
Harris Sculpture Garden
The Harris Gardens, located in the college's center courtyard, showcase the work of 26 internationally-renowned sculptors in a beautifully landscaped setting.
Library
The Library's Family Friendly Space offers a welcoming place where student parents can study while their children play nearby. Connected study and play areas include toys and activities for all ages, an extensive collection of children's books, and interactive items available through the Library of Things, creating a supportive environment for student families.
Natural Area
The Natural Area is 195 acres of relatively wild land and walking trails adjoining and south of our campus. Home to a dozen different biotic communities, it's an excellent place for exploration, photography, and wildlife observation.
Indoor Walking Track/Open Gym
North Central's Student and Community Resource Center (SCRC) offers basketball and pickleball courts, a free community walking track, circuit and cardio fitness rooms, and locker rooms with showers.
Iron Horse Café
Open to the public, the Iron Horse Café offers daily lunch and dinner specials, which include a hot entrée plus a cup of soup or a side salad or piece of fruit. There’s also a la carte style for younger guests craving chicken strips or a burger.
