Orientation and Registration Day
Welcome to the Pack! Let's get started.
Have you applied and been accepted as a North Central student? Congratulations! We're thrilled you're part of our pack! Here's what you can expect next:
- Reserve a spot at one of our New Student Registration Days to meet with an advisor and sign up for classes.
- After signing up for a New Student Registration Day, we recommend that you complete the 30-minute online orientation.
New Student Registration Days
New Student Registration Day allows new students to enroll in classes for the upcoming semester. To enroll in classes, you'll need to attend one of the New Student Registration Days offered throughout the year.
What to expect at Registration Day:

- Meet with an academic advisor
(You'll leave Registration Day with your class schedule in hand.) - Student Housing and Financial Aid verification
(You'll leave Registration Day knowing exactly how much you owe, when it's due and options for payment, including setting up a payment plan.) - Overview of the student support and success resources available on campus
- Student ID photo
- Optional campus tour
What parents/guardians can expect:
Attend a breakout session while your student meets with an advisor to register for classes. We'll discuss ways you can best support your college student. Topics include:
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Shifting of Roles – Manager to Consultant
- Supporting Personal Responsibility
- College-Level Class Expectations
- Financial Common Sense
- Developing Emotional Intelligence

Online Orientation
North Central's online orientation is encouraged for any new-to-college student (including previous NCMC dual students).
During the online orientation, you'll learn important information about faculty expectations, college resources, how to develop a successful education plan, how to pay for college, how to register for classes, and more. Orientation takes 30 - 45 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress and return later if necessary.
Click the button below and follow the directions to complete your online orientation. Please note that completing the online orientation is not a substitution to attending a New Student Registration Day.
