About The Presenter:
Javier Guirado-Alonso, Ph.D., is a Visiting Assistant Professor of World History at
Kennesaw State University and a fellow at the SEPAD project based at Lancaster University.
He earned his Ph.D. from Georgia State University in 2024, focusing on oil, labor,
and civil society in 20th-century Qatar. In 2023-24, he was a Visiting Researcher
at the Orient-Institut Beirut, sponsored by the Max Weber Foundation.
