February 11, 2022 Update
The Health Department of Northwest Michigan (HDNWMI) announced earlier today that they are rescinding the K-12 school mask order effective February 18, 2022, due to the decline in COVID-19 cases across the region and available tools and strategies for mitigation.

February 7, 2022 Update
COVID-19 infection rates have remained elevated in the Tip of the Mitt during the first month of 2022. Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Monday, February 28, 2022, out of an abundance of caution.

January 19, 2022 Update
Unfortunately, COVID-19 infection rates have remained elevated in Emmet County this first month of 2022. Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Monday, February 28, 2022, out of an abundance of caution.

November 29, 2021 Update
Unfortunately, COVID-19 infection rates have remained elevated in Emmet County throughout November. Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Monday, January 31, 2022, out of an abundance of caution.

October 22, 2021 Update
Unfortunately, COVID-19 infection rates have remained elevated in Emmet County during the first three weeks of October. Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Tuesday, November 30, 2021, out of an abundance of caution.

September 21, 2021 Update
Unfortunately, COVID-19 infection rates have not dropped in Emmet County during the month of September. Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Friday, October 29, 2021, out of an abundance of caution.

September 3, 2021 Update
Effective September 7, 2021, North Central Michigan College will be utilizing Phase 5 of the COVID-19 Response Grid.

August 23, 2021 Update
Out of an abundance of caution, North Central Michigan College will implement an indoor mask requirement beginning on Monday, August 30, 2021. (The date previously announced was Sept. 7, 2021.)

Following recent action taken by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), North Central will move to Phase 6* of its Re-Opening Plan/COVID-19 Response Grid effective Monday, June 28, 2021.
