Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s May 14, 2021, order stating if you are a Michigan resident and you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you no longer need to wear a mask or other face covering whether indoors or out, went into effect at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
As a result of this order, fully vaccinated individuals (those for whom at least two weeks has passed after receiving the final dose of an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine) has been added to the list of exceptions to the face mask requirement. The complete list of exemptions can be found in Section 7 of the May 14, 2021 Gatherings and Face Mask Order.
North Central Michigan College, therefore, requires face masks be worn by all individuals unless they fall into a specified exemption, which now includes fully vaccinated individuals.
