North Central Michigan College’s Summer Learning Academy returns this year with an exciting lineup of hands-on, interactive programs designed to inspire young minds. Running from June 23—August 21, the nine-week academy offers engaging learning experiences for students entering grades 3 through 8. With morning (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) and afternoon (1 – 4 p.m.) sessions available, children can explore topics like robotics, art, nature, music, and even babysitting certification.
All classes take place on North Central’s Petoskey campus, providing a dynamic learning environment with access to college facilities.

- Cost: $99 per session (includes four days of instruction and class supplies)
- Scholarships: Available to eligible students

For children entering grades 3, 4 and 5:
- Week of June 23: Magic and More/Young Entrepreneurs or Jewelry Making: Sparkle and Create/Magic and More
- Week of June 30: Yoga, Stretch, and Play/ Future Stars Acting Class
- Week of July 7: All About Art/LEGO Robotics
- Week of July 14: LEGO Robotics/Nature’s Nurturers
- Week of July 21: Guitar Adventures/Rock Star Writer! Or Kids in the Kitchen/Star Voices Singing
- Week of July 28: LEGO Robotics/Karate for Kids
- Week of August 4: Manufacturing Madness/Adventure in Action
- Week of August 11: Outdoor Adventures/Sculpt and Shape
- Week of August 18: Jr. Sleuth’s Crime Lab/Dancing Dynamo
For Children Entering Grades 6, 7 and 8:
