Celebrating The Human Fabric
A Martin Luther King Jr. Day Event
During his trips to more than 100 countries over the past 36 years, Gary L. Hauck has taken thousands of photos of people he has observed, experienced, or befriended. Most of these pictures were candid, with only a few “on-the-spot” poses; all were unplanned.
To Hauck, the photos represent the “Human Fabric” that weaves us together as one global family. Despite our cultural differences, we are all made of the same cloth. Hauck's hope is that his 5x8' photo collage — a 2023 ArtPrize piece — conveys each of these even more effectively than 1,000 words. Join him to learn the stories behind each photo.

This free event is presented by North Central's Global Studies Program and the NCMC International Committee. Registration is required.
