PETOSKEY—North Central was honored with two 2021 Paragon Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) at the organization’s national conference in Denver.
North Central’s marketing team was awarded in the following categories:
- Print Newsletter (Gold) for the team’s work on Aspire, Spring/Summer 2021
- Excellence in Writing - Long Form (Silver), for the team’s work on “Answering the call,” featured in Aspire, Spring/Summer 2021
NCMPR’s Paragon Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. It is the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
The 2021 Paragon Awards competition drew 1,719 entries from 232 colleges across the country and was judged by nearly 70 professionals from the marketing and public relations industry. Entries stretched from coast to coast and from Vancouver, Canada, to Florida. The full list of winners is available on NCMPR’s website.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by our peers at the national level,” said Carol Laenen, vice president of marketing and strategy. “We have a talented marketing team with a great story to tell—a story that includes the amazing achievements of North Central's students, faculty and alumni.”
